NOVEL PROCESS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE - Finely divided or vaporized organic and inorganic tin compounds are conventionally applied to heated glass articles to produce a coating of stannic oxide on the article. Superior coatings are obtained when the tin compound is a monoalkyltin trihalide. The trihalides offer the additional advantage of being recoverable in substantially pure form. -i-
