The invention relates to a procedure, to a grafted starch derivative produced by this procedure and to its use. In the procedure a starch or starch derivative is graft-copolymerized with a cyclic ester, producing a starch derivative grafted with an aliphatic polyester. The procedure can be implemented as mass polymerization without the use of a solvent or other medium. The grafted starch derivative produced can be used as a component in hot-melt adhesives and as an impermeable coating for paper and cardboard.

Procédés d'obtention d'un dérivé d'amidon greffé et utilisation de ce dérivé. Selon ce procédé, un amidon ou dérivé de l'amidon est copolymérisé par greffage avec un ester cyclique, produisant un dérivé d'amidon greffé avec un polyester aliphatique, ce procédé peut être réalisé par polymérisation en masse, sans l'aide d'un solvant ou d'aucun autre milieu. Le dérivé d'amidon greffé ainsi obtenu peut être utilisé comme composant dans des adhésifs thermofusibles et comme revêtement imperméable du papier et du carton.
