ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a starting device associated with the ignition system for a vehicle. In particular the starting device can be used with respectto lighting systems. In one embodiment, the starting device operates the vehicle's lighting system on low beam, a predetermined time after ignition of the vehicle. This is an important safety feature and eliminates the problems of battery drain at start up.
