The invention relates to a station (15) for applying paint or powder to car bodies, said station comprising at least one body transporting device (2) enabling each body (2) to be displaced in the station according to a transport direction (A), without stopping in the area of the station through which they are passing, and at least one spray robot (16) comprising at least one sprayer (25) and provided with first monitoring means. The invention is characterised in that the station (15) comprises at least one opening device or operating sash (28, 29, 30), each fitted with second monitoring means (32, 33, 35, 40, 42, 45) enabling it to be displaced parallel to the transport direction (A), said second monitoring means being separate from the first means for monitoring the spray robots (16).

Cabine d~application (15) de peinture ou de poudre sur des carrosseries automobiles comportant : - au moins un dispositif de convoyage des carrosseries (2) permettant de déplacer chaque carrosserie (2) dans la cabine selon une direction de convoyage (A), les carroseries ne s~arrêtant pas dans la zone de la cabine qu~elles traversent, - au moins un robot de pulvérisation (16) portant au moins un pulvérisateur (25) et équipé de premiers moyens de suivi., caractérisée en ce que la cabine (15) comporte au moins un dispositif d~ouverture ou ouvrant (28, 29, 30), chaque ouvrant étant équipé de seconds moyens de suivi (32, 33, 35, 40, 42, 45) permettant de la déplacer parallèlement à la direction de convoyage (A), distincts des premiers moyens de suivi des robots de pulvérisation (16).
