ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A steam bath apparatus comprises a cabin having a steam generating device consisting of a unit for heating liquid and an uptake of liquid to produce at least an approximately satured steam atmosphere in the cabin. The steam generating device comprises at least one evaporating surface, an inlet to supply liquid to the evaporating sur- face, and at least one liquid outlet: from the evaporating surface. The evaporating surface is adapted to produce a heated layer of liquid flowing over the surface for the purpose of generating steam.
