A spinneret steam blanketing system for blanketing the face of a spinneret with gas. The system includes a steam distribution ring (109) surrounding a filament array (122), where the steam distribution ring (109) abuts the spin head (112) and is removably mounted to said spin head (112). The steam distribution ring (109) is removed and the face (113) of the spinneret may be wiped clean, without the need for removing and replacing the spin pack (108).

Cette invention concerne un système de couverture à la vapeur pour presse à filer permettant de recouvrir de gaz le bord d'une telle presse. Ce système comprend un anneau de distribution de vapeur (109) entourant un réseau de filament (122). L'anneau (109) vient en butée contre la tête fileuse (112) sur laquelle il est monté déposable. Ledit anneau (109) peut être retiré de la presse à filer (113) et nettoyé sans dépose préalable et remontage subséquent de l'ensemble fileur (108).
