Pressing iron composed of a soleplate (1) fixed to a heating body (2), wherein the soleplate (1) has a pattern (11, 12) of at least 200 steam outlet holes (10) each having a passage cross section smaller than 4 mm2, with spacings of less than mm between hole centers, and wherein the pattern of steam outlet holes (11, 12)is interrupted by an imperforate band (14) having a width greater than 10 mm, which band extends over the pattern.

Fer à repasser comprenant une semelle (1) fixée sur un corps chauffant (2), caractérisé en ce que ladite semelle (1) comporte un réseau (11,12) d'au moins 200 trous (10) de sortie de vapeur possédant une section de passage inférieure à 4 mm2, les mailles dudit réseau présentant une taille inférieure à mm, et en ce qu'au moins une bande (14) d'une largeur supérieure à 10 mm, démunie de trous de sortie de vapeur, vient interrompre ledit réseau (11,12) en s'étendant au travers de ce dernier.
