The invention relates to a steel which is characterized in a chemical composition containing in weight-%: 0.3 to 0.5% C, from traces to max. 1.5% Si, 0.2 to 1.5% Mn, 0.01 to 0.2% S, 1.5 to 4% Cr, 1.5 to 5% Ni,0.5 to 2% Mo, which at least partly may be replaced by twice as much W, 0.2 to 1.5% V, from traces to totally max. 0.2% of rare earth metals, balance essentially only iron, impurities and accessory elements in normal amounts. The invention relates also to a process for the manufacturing of a blank of the steel as well as to a process for the manufacturing of a cutting tool body or a holder for cutting tools.
L'invention porte sur un acier qui est caractérisé par une composition chimique contenant en % en poids : 0,3 à 0,5 % de C, des traces jusqu'à un maximum de 1,5 % de Si, 0,2 à 1,5 % de Mn, 0,01 à 0,2 % de S, 1,5 à 4 % de Cr, 1,5 à 5 % de Ni, 0,5 à 2 % de Mo, qui peuvent au moins partiellement être remplacés par deux fois autant de W, 0,2 à 1,5 % de V, de traces jusqu'à un maximum total de 0,2 % de métaux des terres rares, le complément étant essentiellement constitué seulement par du fer, des impuretés et des éléments accessoires dans des quantités normales. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication d'une ébauche de l'acier ainsi que sur un procédé de fabrication d'un corps d'outil de coupe ou d'un porte-outil de coupe.
