Steel that may be used among other things for the manufacture of plastic injection molds with a chemical composition that includes, in weight, 0.03% C 0.25%, 0% Si 0.2%, 0% Mn 0.9%, 1.5% Ni 5%, 0% Cr 18%, 0.05% Mo + W/2 1%, 0% S 0.3%, at least one element among Al and Cu in concentrations between 0.5% and 3%, possibly 0.0005% B 0.015%, possibly at least one element from among V, Nb, Zr, Ta and Ti, in concentrations between 0% and 0.3%, possibly at least one element from among Pb, Se, Te et Bi, in concentrations between 0% and 0.3%, the rest being iron and impurities resulting from processing, notably nitrogen, whth the chemical compositions so satisfying the following: Kth = 3.8 x C + 9.8 x Si + 3.3 x Mn + 2.4 x Ni + x Cr + 1.4 x (Mo + W/2) 15, with = 1.4 if Cr < 8% and = 0 if Cr 8%; Tr = 3.8 x C + 1.07 x Mn + 0.7 x Ni + 0.57 x Cr + 1.58 x (Mo + W/2) + kB 3.1, with kB = 0.8 if B is between 0.0005% and 0.015%, and kB = 0 if not; if Cr 5%, Kth / Tr 3. Steel block of hardness greater than 350 HB and solder.

Bloc en acier de dureté supérieure à 350 HB et fil de soudure.
