A lift axle suspension comprising a trailing arm and a control arm rotatably mounted to an axle assembly through a movable connection that permits the axle assembly to pivot relative to a vehicle frame on which the suspension is mounted to thereby adjust the caster angle of wheels support by the axle assembly between a positive and negative angle to permit the forward and reverse operation of the vehicle with the suspension in a lowered position.
