Abstract of the Disclosure A steering rod (9), in particular for a wheeled vehicle (1), can be connected to the steering column (3) by a centrally located connecting arrangement (7). The connecting arrangement (7) has an articulated arm (11; 111) which can be bent about at least one hinge pin (14) and which can be fixed in various locking positions by a fixing means (18; 12; 118; 218; 38). The locking positions are defined on two opposing locking surfaces (16, 17; 36; 37) which are inelastic in the articulated arm parts, by pins (20; 35) engaged in depressions (19). The clamping distance of the fixing means (18; 12; 38; 118; 218) is smaller than the length of the pins (20; 35). Additional means for fully releasing the pins (20; 35) from the depressions (19) are provided.
