ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a hydraulically boosted steering transmission for motor vehicles which has a steering casing and which has a control valve, a control bush, a torsion rod, and a piston which boosts the manual steering force and has cylinder chambers on each side. The torsion rod is connected by one end without clearance to the control valve and by the other end resiliently to the control bush. In accordance with the invention, the resilient connection takes the form of a coupling between the torsion rod and the control bush, the coupling having a first tooth-like connection between the torsion rod and the coupling and a second tooth- like connection between the coupling and the control bush. One of the two tooth-like connections has an inclined tooth- ing or control cam profile, the coupling having a screw- threading which so cooperates with a screwthreading disposed in a fixed part of the steering casing that the coupling can be moved in the axial direction.
