A stent is covered by a continuous covering layer of elastic material. A roll on surface is treated with a lifting medium, and then coated with an elastomeric polymerisable composition dissolved in a sufficient amount of solvent to permit contact forming. At least a portion of the stent in expanded condition is rolled on said coated roll on surface. Withdrawal of the stent from the roll on surface is followed by evaporating the solvent, and polymerising the elastomeric composition adhered by contact on said portion of the stent.

Un extenseur est recouvert d'une couche continue de matière élastique. Une surface de roulement est traitée par un milieu séparateur, puis revêtue d'une composition élastomère polymérisable, dissoute dans suffisamment de solvant pour permettre la mise en contact.
