A catheter adapted for performing a task at a location inside a lumen, the catheter comprising: a) an outer sheath; b) a balloon capable of inflating inside the lumen when the catheter reaches the location; and c) a balloon inflation tube, which is attached to the balloon and carries a fluid which causes the inflating of the balloon, said balloon inflation tube running through the outer sheath, movable relative to the outer sheath, and stiff enough so that it can be used to push and pull the balloon relative to the outer sheath.

L'invention concerne un cathéter conçu pour exécuter une tâche au niveau d'un emplacement se trouvant à l'intérieur d'une lumière, le cathéter comprenant: a) une enveloppe extérieure; b) un ballonnet pouvant se gonfler à l'intérieur de la lumière lorsque le cathéter atteint l'emplacement; et c) un tube de gonflage de ballonnet lequel est fixé au ballonnet et achemine un fluide permettant le gonflage du ballonnet, ledit tube de gonflage du ballonnet passant à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe extérieure, il est mobile par rapport à l'enveloppe extérieure et suffisamment rigide pour pouvoir être utilisé afin de pousser et de tirer le ballonnet par rapport à l'enveloppe extérieure.
