The present invention is directed to a stent (12) for use in a bifurcated body lumen having a main branch (2) and a side branch (4). The stent (12) comprises a radially expandable generally tubular stent body (14) having proximal (20) and distal (22) opposing ends with a body wall (14) having a surface extending therebetween. The surface has a geometrical configuration defining a first pattern, and the first pattern has first pattern struts (24) and connectors (26) arranged in a predetermined configuration. The stent (12) also comprises a branch portion (30) comprised of a second pattern, wherein the branch portion (30) is at least partially detachable from the stent body (14).

L'invention concerne un stent (12) conçu pour être utilisé dans une lumière corporelle à bifurcation doté d'une ramification principale (2) et d'une ramification latérale (4). Ledit stent comprend un corps (14) généralement tubulaire et dilatable de manière radiale ayant des extrémités proximale (20) et distale (22) opposées avec une paroi corporelle dont la surface s'étend entre ces extrémités.
