A method and device for displaying, on a single display surface, two different images. Each picture element on the display surface transmits information about the two displayed images. The viewer wears polarizing spectacles having cross polarized lens. The device uses polarizing filters and LCDs to rotate the polarized light and bring this polarized light in a predetermined angle so as to present an independent intensity to each eye of the viewer.

Procédé et dispositif servant à afficher, sur une surface d'affichage unique, deux images différentes. Chaque élément d'image sur la surface d'affichage transmet une information à propos des deux images affichées. La personne observant l'image porte des lunettes polarisantes dotées de verres à polarisation croisée. Le dispositif fait appel à des filtres polarisants et à des affichages à cristaux liquides pour mettre en rotation la lumière polarisée et l'orienter selon un angle prédéterminé de manière à présenter une intensité lumineuse indépendante à chaque oeil de l'utilisateur.
