2098910 9211735 PCTABS00014 A pair of stereoscopic images are displayed on alternate horizontal lines on a display and a decoder screen makes one image available to a viewer's left eye and the other to his right eye. In the case of a video signal the two images are carried on a pair of interlaced video fields. Decoders for such images can operate by polarizing the two images or by applying colour filters to each of the two images.
