The invention relates to sterile filtered nanoparticulate compositions of beclomethasone and/or budesonide having a surface stabilizer tyloxapol and, optionally, one or more secondary surface stabilizers absorbed onto the surfaces thereof. The nanoparticulate compositions have an optimal effective average particle size of less than about 150 nm.
