Radioactive seeds, particularly I-125 radioiodine seeds, are sterilised by being subjected to dry heat at a temperature of at least 140 ~C, preferably 150-200 ~C. A container having loose sterile radioactive seeds therein is disclosed. The container is preferably of glass with a label and a removable heat-resistant silicone closure.

L'invention concerne des grains radioactifs, en particulier, des grains d'iode radioactifs. Ces grains sont stérilisés par application d'une chaleur sèche à une température d'au moins 140· C. L'invention concerne également un contenant renfermant les grains radioactifs en vrac. De préférence, le contenant est fabriqué à partir de verre et il est pourvu d'une étiquette et d'une fermeture en silicone thermorésistant amovible.
