A STERILE SYRINGE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME ABSTRACT A sterile syringe assembly and method of making same for providing sterile air to be injected into a patient. The syringe assembly includes a syringe mounted on a platform within an enclosure package. The syringe includes a barrel portion and a plunger which is at least partially pulled back from the barrel portion to provide an internal chamber of the barrel portion filled with sterilized air. The package enclosure is opened and the syringe plunger is actuated to inject the contained sterilized air into the patient.
