ABSTRACT STERILISATION DEVICE AND METHOD Method and equipment for the sterilisation of surgical instruments and the like, in which the objects which are to be sterilized are first placed in a non-sealed container which includes a material capable of absorbing a liquid. The objects can be placed either directly on the bottom of the said container or on a layer of such material producing vapours which saturate the environment, or are arranged in combination with a suitable material to raise the temperature up to the destruction by incineration of instruments associated with a risk of contagion. The said container is then placed in an appropriate microwave container for sterilisation or incineration of the objects contained therein.
