The invention relates to a sterilization container, preferably for hospital refuse. The container comprises a receptacle (1) with a filling opening that is defined by the upper edge of its side wall (5) and is disposed opposite from its bottom (4) and lid (2) for covering the filling opening. The receptacle (1) - and if need be, also the lid (2) - is comprised of a tough plastic that is permeable for microwaves and resists stretching, even beyond the boiling temperature of water.A pressure-tight sealing device (20) provided between the receptacle (1) and the lid (2) and a closure device (3, 29) provided for securing the lid (2) on the receptacle (1) counter to the force of an internal pressure in the receptacle (1) assure that after a hermetic closure of the container and moistening the contaminated refuse, said refuse in the sterilization container is sterilized by means of micro waves and is readied for disposal. The container according to the invention reliably withstands the existent internal pressure due to its composition.
Un conteneur de stérilisation, destiné de préférence à des déchets hospitaliers, comprend un seau (1) pourvu d'une ouverture de remplissage opposée à son fond (4) et délimitée par le bord supérieur de sa paroi latérale (5), ainsi qu'un couvercle (2) pour recouvrir l'ouverture de remplissage. Le seau (1) et le cas échéant le couvercle (2) sont constitués d'une matière plastique transparente aux micro-ondes, rigide et résistante à l'allongement même au-dessus de la température d'ébullition de l'eau. Un joint d'étanchéité (20) étanche à la pression monté entre le seau (1) et le couvercle (2), et un dispositif de fermeture (3, 29) qui maintient le couvercle (2) sur le seau (1) à l'encontre de la force d'une pression intérieure dans le seau (1) permettent de stériliser aux micro-ondes, puis de rejeter à l'état stérile des déchets contaminés recueillis dans ce conteneur de déchets. Les déchets sont humidifiés et le conteneur est hermétiquement fermé avant la stérilisation des déchets aux micro-ondes. Compte tenu du matériau dont il est constitué, le conteneur supporte la pression intérieure qui se forme pendant le processus de stérilisation.
