A B S T R A C T An apparatus for sterilization which comprises a treatment chamber with constant temperature control connected to a source of vacuum and to a circuit for admitting a carrier gas comprising a means for sterilizing a gas and a means for heat- ing the gas at constant temperature as well as a steam generator connected to a water supply and to a system for controlling the temperature and/or pressure , in addition to a sterilizing gas generator suitable for containing a solution of a sterilizing agent and which is equipped with means of heating and/or cooling and of temperature control , and also to suitable means for circulating the atmos- phere in the chamber in contact with the solution .
