Abstract The present invention relates to a sterilization method that uses liquid disinfectant for sterilizing intended parts in a sterile liquid content packing machine. These parts include a filler pipe and piping in free communication therewith. The method consists of first preheating heat storage piping which has a high heat capacity by passing super-heated air therethrough. Liquid disinfectant is spray-charged for a given time into the super-heated air passing through the heat storage piping, thereby vapourizing the disinfectant. Any drop in temperature of the resulting mixture is inhibited by the heat stored within the heat storage piping. The mixture is then passed and brought into contact with the intended parts to be sterilized and the mixture condenses evenly as a film of liquid disinfectant. Heated air, having a lower temperature than the aforementioned heated air, is then passed and brought into contact with the condensed film, vaporizing the film so that it can be removed.
