A flat-folding mask including a filter layer forming a rim. The filter layer has first and second side panels extending from the rim. A substantially centrally located front panel bridges the first and second side panels, the front panel being substantially flat. The filter layer further includes a fused portion that is seamless and spaced from the rim. Triangular pleats may add support to the side walls and increase the effective filtration area of the mask.

L'invention concerne un masque se pliant à plat incluant une couche filtrante formant une couronne. La couche filtrante présente un premier et un deuxième corps latéral s'étendant depuis la couronne. Un pan frontal sensiblement localisé au centre relie les premier et deuxième corps latéraux, le pan antérieur étant sensiblement plat. La couche filtrante inclut de plus une partie fondue qui est sans couture et éloignée de la couronne. Des plis triangulaires peuvent conférer un maintien supplémentaire aux parois latérales et augmenter la zone de filtrage effective du masque.
