ABSTRACT Stimulation apparatus for use in the examination of the field of vision of a patient's eyes comprises a hemi-spherical screen capable of uniform illumination on which an image or a stimulus is projected. The main characteristics of the stimulus such as size, position, movement, luminance, colour and presentation time are controllable. The means provided for projecting and controlling the stimulus are located in the upper part of the screen, outside the patient's field of vision The apparatus may alternatively comprise an orifice for checking fixation and two different fixation points respectively one for each eye, which are fixed and offset on each side of the orifice for checking fixation. These fixation points and -the orifice are aligned at -the back of -the screen.
