A method is provided for the suppression or prevention of pain. The method comprises positioning at least one electrode on or proximate to at least one of the patient's sphenopalatine ganglia (102), sphenopalatine nerves (105), or vidian nerves (132), and activating the at least one electrode to apply an electrical signal.

L'invention concerne une méthode de suppression et de prévention de la douleur. Cette méthode consiste à placer au moins une électrode sur au moins un des ganglions sphéno-palatins (102) du patient, des nerfs sphéno-palatins (105), ou des nerfs vidiens (132), ou à proximité de ceux-ci, et à activer cette électrode afin d'appliquer un signal électrique.
