- 7 - ABSTRACT A stone lifter serves for the extraction of large stones from a ground surface or just below the ground surface. The lifter has two arms that are mounted on a transverse tube. The lifter is mounted on a 3-point hitch of an agricultural tractor, with the hitch attachment points being connected to the ends of the tube and the upper ends of the arms. When connected, the arms slope downwardly and away from the tractor. In use, the arms are pushed into the ground beside and below the stone to be removed. The tractor is driven in reverse and simultaneously the 3-point hitch is used to lift the arms, so that the stone is simultaneously pushed and lifted out of the ground by the arms of the lifter.
