The invention relates to a stopper rod adapted to deliver gas during pouring of molten metal comprising a stopper body having an internal chamber and a gas discharge port, a bore connecting the internal chamber to the gas discharge port, the internal chamber and the bore defining a gas passageway. According to the invention, the walls of the gas passageway are provided with a layer of a material which will not produce carbon monoxide at the temperature of Use. The stopper rod of the invention does not contaminate the gas passing therethrough.

L'invention concerne une tige d'arrêt pour acheminer du gaz lors du versement de métal en fusion et comprenant un corps d'arrêt présentant une chambre intérieure ainsi qu'un orifice de décharge de gaz, un alésage reliant la chambre intérieure à l'orifice de décharge de gaz, la chambre intérieure ainsi que l'alésage définissant un passage de gaz. Selon l'invention, les parois du passage de gaz sont dotées d'une couche d'un matériau ne produisant pas de monoxyde de carbone à la température d'utilisation. La tige d'arrêt de l'invention ne contamine pas le gaz traversant.
