This invention concerns stoppers made from composite material for sparkling wines consisting of two types of cork agglomerate which are closely bonded and produced from two ranges of granulates of different granulometry, where the joining surface between the two agglomerates is irregular due to their interpenetration. The invention also concerns the production process of these stoppers by individual moulding (piece by piece), whereby the simultaneous feeding of the two types of granulate and the respective additives is done and the mould is closed by compression and then heated for a time for polymerisation. The granulates used are normally treated with a reactive agglomerant consisting of, for example, quasi -prepolymer based od TDI or quasi -prepolymer based on MDI base. After de-moulding, the unfinished stopper is stabilised, and later machined to the final dimensions.

Cette invention concerne des bouchons faits d'un matériau composite pour des vins pétillants, consistant en deux types d'agglomérat de liège qui sont étroitement liés et produits à partir de deux plages de granulat de différente granulométrie, la surface de liaison entre les deux agglomérats étant irrégulière en raison de leur interpénétration. L'invention concerne également le procédé de fabrication de ces bouchons par un moulage individuel (pièce par pièce), suivant lequel l'alimentation simultanée des deux types de granulat et des additifs respectifs est effectuée et le moule est fermé par compression, puis chauffé pendant un laps de temps pour la polymérisation. Les granulats utilisés sont normalement traités par un agglomérant réactif, consistant par exemple en un quasi-prépolymère à base de TDI ou en un quasi-prépolymère à base de MDI. Après le démoulage, le bouchon non fini est stabilisé, puis usiné jusqu'aux dimensions finales.
