An improved container assembly for the storage and dispensing of pre-moistened towelettes is provided. The assembly includes a container and a multi-function cap. The cap matably engages the upper end of the container and further provides an additional storage area for the storage and retention of partially used towelettes. The cap also provides a relatively airtight seal to keep the towelettes moist and prevent them from prematurely drying out. A flexibly web in the cap enables the towelettes, connected to one another by perforations, to be pulled through the web of the cap. An individual towelette is separated from the roll with a sharp jerk or tub which tears the towelette along the perforation and leaves the remaining towelette extending partially through the web. An area underneath the top closure member of the cap and the web provides a sealed area for the storage of partially used towelettes. A strap which connects the top closure member to the upper closure portion of the cap provides a handle for the initial removal of the cap from the container so that the consumer may feed the first towelette through the web. The matable engagement between the lower portion of the cap and the top portion of the container provides a secure and snug fit yet enables the cap to be removed by the consumer under relatively easy manual pressure.
La présente invention vise un contenant amélioré pour le rangement et la distribution de serviettes humides jetables. Le contenant se compose d'un boîtier et d'un couvercle multifonctions. Le couvercle s'imbrique avec l'extrémité supérieure du contenant et offre en outre un espace supplémentaire pour le rangement et la conservation des serviettes pouvant être réutilisées. Le couvercle assure une fermeture relativement étanche à l'air qui conserve l'humidité des serviettes et les empêche de sécher trop rapidement. Une cloison souple façonnée à même le couvercle permet d'extraire une à une les serviettes délimitées par une série de perforations. Chaque serviette peut être détachée du rouleau par un mouvement sec ou par une traction qui la déchirera le long des perforations et laissera la serviette suivante partiellement engagée dans la cloison du couvercle. Un espace sous le fermoir supérieur du couvercle et de la cloison souple forme une zone étanche pouvant contenir des serviettes peu souillées. Une courroie reliant le fermoir supérieur à la partie supérieure du couvercle forme une poignée permettant au consommateur de retirer le couvercle lors de l'utilisation initiale de l'invention pour introduire une première serviette dans la cloison du couvercle. L'ajustement par imbrication de la partie inférieure du couvercle et de la partie supérieure du contenant garantit un ajustement serré et solide tout en permettant au consommateur de retirer facilement le couvercle par une simple pression de la main.
