A storage bracket assembly for sports equipment, in particular equipment having elongate shafts such as an ice hockey stick. The bracket assembly has a wall track for slidingly receiving at least one modular clip. The wall track has flush wall mounting features and has ridges for facilitating sliding movement of the modular clip. The modular clip has spaced parallel lip assemblies adapted to hold the shaft of the equipment in selected orientations.
