The invention relates to a storage configuration (10) having a predeterminable storage atmosphere, comprising a storage chamber (12) for receiving a plurality of storage product carriers (14) for storage product (32), which can be delivered to a feeding and removal opening (42) for the storage and removal of the storage product (32) using a transport apparatus (16), and further comprising an air-conditioning apparatus (24), which associated with the storage chamber (12) and exhausts air from the storage chamber (12), treats it, and injects it back into the storage chamber (12) via exhaust and injection openings (18, 20) provided on the storage chamber (12). The exhaust and injection openings (18, 20) are disposed such that the air flows through the storage chamber (12) in the vertical direction.
