ABSTRACT A suture obtained by spinning a polyglycolic acid or a glycolic acid copolymer of glycolide and ?-lactide in an amount not greater than 15% based on the glycolide and having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.85 is stored by hermetically packaging the suture together with dry air within a container made of a substantially moisture impervious material.
