In storage-stable, flame retardant-containing polyol components comprising at least one polyol plus, if desired, further relatively high molecular weight compounds containing at least two reactive hydrogen atoms and, if desired, low molecular weight chain extenders and/or crosslinkers and also blowing agents, catalysts, stabilizers and, if desired, further auxiliaries and/or additives, stabilizers used are imidazoles of the general formula (see fig. I), where R1 = C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-hydroxyalkyl or dimethylamino-C1-C4-alkyl and R2, R3, R4 = H or C1-C4-alkyl, and/or formic acid. Rigid PUR foams based on isocyanate can be prepared by reacting this polyol component with organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates and can be used as insulation material in the building sector.

Polyols stables au stockage, avec ignifugeant, renfermant au moins un polyol, plus, si souhaités, d'autres composés de masse molaire relativement élevée, avec au moins deux atomes d'hydrogène réactifs, et, si souhaités, des réticulants et (ou) des extenseurs de chaîne, de faible masse moléculaire, ainsi que des agents d'expansion, des catalyseurs, des stabilisateurs et, si souhaités, d'autres auxiliaires et (ou) additifs; les stabilisateurs employés sont des imidazoles de formule générale (voir fig. I), où R1 = alkyle C1-C4, hydroxyalkyle C1-C4, ou diméthylaminoalkyle C1-C4 et R2, R3, R4 = H ou alkyle C1-C4, et (ou) l'acide formique. Les mousses rigides de PUR, à base d'isocyanate, peuvent être préparées par réaction de ce polyol avec des polyisocyanates organiques modifiés ou non, et servir comme isolant dans le bâtiment.
