A stowage device that includes the combination with a load- bearing framework having opposed uniformly spaced apart longitudinal members terminating in opposed uniformly spaced apart end members for orienting same to extend generally horizontally such as from side wall to side wall spaced above the cargo bed of a pick-up truck with a compartment formation releasably attachable thereto within the longitudinal members and in alignment therewith to depend therebelow but terminating above the cargo bed.
