The present invention relates to vaccine composition(s) comprising at least two PspAs from strains selected from at least one family, the family being defined by PspAs from strains belonging to the family having greater than or equal to 50 % homology in aligned sequences of a C-terminal region of an alpha helical region of PspA. Additionally, the families are further comprised of clades, wherein PspAs from strains which belong to a clade exhibit at least 75 % sequence homology in aligned sequences of the C-terminal region of the alpha helix of PspA. Vaccine compositions of the present invention preferably comprise a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 strains representing a single clade each, and the at least two PspAs are optionally serologically or broadly cross- reactive.
La présente invention concerne des compositions vaccinales comprenant au moins deux antigènes PspA issus de souches choisies dans au moins une famille, la famille étant en l'occurrence définie par les antigènes PspA provenant de souches appartenant à la famille présentant au moins 50 % d'homologie dans les séquences alignées d'une région à terminaison C d'une région de l'hélice .alpha. de l'antigène PspA. En outre, les familles comprennent également des clades pour lesquels les antigènes PspA issus de souches appartenant à un clade présentent au moins 75 % d'homologie de séquences dans les séquences alignées de la région à terminaison C de l'hélice .alpha. de l'antigène PspA. Les compositions vaccinales de la présente invention comportent au minimum 4 et au maximum 6 souches représentant chacune un seul clade, les deux antigènes PspA étant facultativement sérologiquement ou largement inter-réactifs.
