ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A strand guiding means to be used in a continuous casting plant comprises a frame for the supporting means of the strand, which frame is actuated by an adjustment means having a displacement ruler detachably connected to the frame by means of a quick lock. Upon release of the quick lock and retraction of the displacement ruler the frame can be removed vertically upwardly. An adjustment to different strand sizes is made possible in an operationally safe manner and without manual labour. Destroying of the displacement ruler and the adjustment mechanism by molten metal break- throughs can be prevented.
