ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a sporting shoe sole com- prising an outer wearing sole, an inner sole in stratified construc- tion therewith and an interposed wedge body arranged at least in the rear portion of the sole, said wedge body having an enclosed cavity disposed substantially in the centre of a heel area of the sole, said cavity being divided into an upper part flaring outwardly in the upwards direction and a lower part, said upper and lower parts communicating with each other through at least one aperture having a small flow cross section, whereby an equalizing flow resulting from differential pressure passes through said at least one aperture between said upper and lower parts to give the sole damped elastic yielding properties.
