ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is an animal litter composition which consists essentially of straw, sunflower hulls, dried alfalfa, and a binder such as clay. The straw is from the class consisting of grain and grass straws including flax, rye, barley, oats, wheat, durm, triticle, and rice hulls, and the dried alfalfa consists of between approximately 10 - 30 by weight of the litter.
