A streamer handling and towing system for a seismic survey vessel comprises a beam (42) secured to the underside of the deck (50) of the vessel immediately above the streamer deck (20), so that it extends generally longitudinally of the vessel above normal head height. The beam (42) is pivoted at its stern end, and supported at its other end (54) by a telescopic arm (56) which can lower that end towards the streamer deck (20). A carriage (60) supporting a spooling block (34) for the streamer (28) is movable in both directions along the beam (42). During towing, the beam (42) is held in its raised position, with the spooling block (34) at the stern end of the beam. When it is desired to work on the streamer, the carriage (60) is moved along the beam (42) to the other end, which is then lowered towards the streamer deck (20) to provide convenient waist high access to the streamer.
La présente invention concerne un système de manoeuvre et de remorque de flûte sismique destiné à un navire de recherches sismiques. Ce système comporte une rampe (42) fixée sous la face inférieure du pont (50) du navire immédiatement au-dessus du pont des flûtes (20) sensiblement longitudinalement par rapport au navire au-dessus de la hauteur de tête normale. Cette rampe (42), qui pivote par son extrémité de fixation, est retenue à son autre extrémité (56) par un bras télescopique (56) qui permet d'abaisser cette extrémité vers le pont des flûtes (20). Un chariot (60) portant un dispositif de blocage pour enroulement (34) de flûte (28) est mobile dans les deux sens le long de la rampe (42). Pendant le remorquage, la rampe (42) est tenue en position relevée, le dispositif de blocage pour enroulement (34) étant retenu au voisinage de l'extrémité de fixation de la rampe. Lorsqu'on désire intervenir sur la flûte, on déplace le chariot (60) le long de la rampe vers l'autre extrémité que l'on abaisse ensuite vers le pont des flûtes (20) de façon à permettre une intervention à hauteur d'homme sur la flûte.
