This invention relates to a roll of stretched plastic film having an embossed surface for trapping air so as to facilitate unwinding of said roll of stretched film for wrapping pallet loads and particularly includes a folded edge for strengthening the edge, which folded edge is applied in a manner so as to minimize piling up of said rolled folded edge. The invention further includes the roller, apparatus and method of stretching and embossing a web of stretchable film by textured rollers.
