ABSTRACT The invention relates to a tray and a method of sealing a sheet of wrap- ping material thereto so as to produce a substantially leak tight seal while substantially reducing the amount of wrapping material needed. The invention further relates to a method of sealing a product containing tray which elimi- nates the need to underwrap the tray and which produces a seal in which substantially all of the tensional forces are shear forces.
