A stretch wrap film is provided. The stretch wrap film includes a stretch identifier which allows the stretch wrap operator to gauge the degree of stretch in the film as a result of stretch wrap operations. The stretch identifier includes a repeating pattern along the length of the stretch wrap film. The repeating pattern can take the shape of a sine wave, a segmented sine wave, a circle, a square or rectangle, arrows, or brackets. The stretch wrap film can be used for wrapping articles, including pallets, forage, rolls of paper or fiber material, windows and furniture.
