An elongate string (62) of sheet metal anchor clips (64) includes an end-to- end between a series of identical anchor clips disposed in a line, each clip including a flat base portion (90) between a forward, hook shaped end portion (98) and a downturned leg (88) which extends from a corner with the base portion, and a strip of flexible material (102) fixed to each one of the clips to form the string of end-to-end clips. The clip can have an adhesive on one side thereof for fixing the strip to each clip. Also the area which will become the hook shaped end portion can have a liner (96) inserted adjacent thereto from a direction which is substantially 90~ to a feed direction of partially formed clips, during the process of manufacturing the end-to-end string of clips.
Un chapelet allongé (62) de pinces d'ancrage en tôle (64) est constitué d'une part d'une série de pinces d'ancrage identiques mises bout à bout en ligne, chaque pince comportant une base plate (90) disposée entre une partie terminale avant (98) en forme de crochet et une branche (88) tournée vers le bas qui fait saillie à partir d'un angle formé avec la base, et d'autre part d'une bande de matière flexible (102) fixée à chacune des pinces de façon à constituer le chapelet de pinces disposées bout à bout. Ladite bande peut être recouverte d'adhésif sur une de ses faces de façon à pouvoir être fixée à chacune des pinces. En outre, la zone qui doit former la partie terminale en forme de crochet peut être munie, au cours du processus de fabrication du chapelet de pinces disposées bout à bout, d'une garniture (96) disposée en position contiguë à ladite partie terminale à partir d'une direction formant sensiblement un angle de 90· avec la direction d'alimentation des pinces partiellement formées.
