ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A beam, suitable for use as a joist or stringer in heavy concrete forming applications, is disclosed. The beam has an upper top hat section, web portion and a base portion with a bolt slot and slightly concave base flanges; and includes downwardly extending flanges at the outer extremities of the top hat flanges and upwardly extending flanges at the outer extremities of the base flanges. The underside of the top hat flanges and the upper side of the base flanges, at their outer ends, are curved, so as to accommodate identical clamps for securing the beam to other structures, as required.
