Inventor: Samuel C. Scott and David R Wells Title : STRIPPABLE FORM FOR CONCRETE BEAMS AND BEAM-DECK CONSTRUCTION Abstract of the Disclosure A lightweight, very strong from for a concrete beam in- cludes a plurality of U-shaped brace members having vertical, light-weight steel deck sheets secured to the uprights thereof, a strippable, non-stick, plastic liner for contacting the concrete of the beam and a rigid foamed plastic filling the space between the liner and the steel sheets, so that is supports the weight of the concrete poured onto the strippable, plastic liner. A column form is arranged to mate with the beam form, and the beam form may be used to mate with flying deck forms producing an integral, combined column, beam and deck structure. The forms are arranged for easily joining short beam sections to make long beam forms, and to join columns and floor decks with a smooth joint requiring no finishing. The strength of the beam forms reduces the quan- tity of supports necessary to hold the weight of the forms and poured concrete, and their configuration provides easy and quick stripping of the forms from the set concrete. - 1 -
