A stripper tool apparatus is adapted for removing material adhering to an outside surface of a cord-like structure and includes a clamp assembly and a blade assembly. The clamp assembly extends along a longitudinal axis and has a first clamp member defining a first surface and a second clamp member defining a second surface disposed opposite said first surface to define a thickness of a sidewall therebetween. The first and second clamp members are releasably engageable to each other. The clamp assembly has at least one guide hole extending through and between the sidewall and the first surface and an outlet formed into the second surface at a depth sufficient to communicate with the guide hole. The guide hole is sized to receive the cord-like structure and the material associated therewith and the outlet is sized to receive at least a portion of the material. The blade assembly includes a blade holder and a blade element having a cutting edge and releasably connected to the blade holder. The blade assembly issized and adapted to be releasably clamped between the first and second clamp members in a manner whereby the cutting edge of the blade element transversely confronts the guide hole so that, when the cord-like structure and the material associated therewith advance through the guide hole, the cutting edge cuts at least a portion of the material from the outer surface of the cord-like structure and directs the cut portion of the material through the outlet while the cord-like structure continues to advance through the guide hole.
Cette invention concerne un outil à dénuder conçu pour enlever un matériau collé à la surface d'un câble et comportant un dispositif de serrage et un dispositif de coupe. Le dispositif de serrage se prolonge le long d'un axe longitudinal et comporte un premier élément de serrage définissant une première surface et un second élément de serrage définissant une seconde surface opposée à la première et définissant une paroi d'épaisseur donnée entre les deux. Les deux éléments de serrage se fixent de façon amovible l'un à l'autre. Le dispositif de serrage comporte au moins un trou passe-fil entre la paroi et la première surface et un orifice de sortie dans la seconde surface de profondeur suffisante pour communiquer avec le trou passe-fil. Le trou passe-fil a une section adaptée à la grosseur du câble à dénuder, tandis que l'orifice de sortie est dimensionnée pour laisser passer au moins une partie du matériau enlevé. Le dispositif de coupe comprend un porte-lame et une lame à arête coupante montée de façon amovible dans le porte-lame. Le dispositif de coupe est dimensionné et configuré pour pouvoir être calé de façon amovible entre les deux éléments de serrage avec l'arête coupante disposée transversalement au trou passe-fil pour pouvoir, à mesure que le câble avance dans le trou passe-fil, enlever au moins une partie du matériau recouvrant le câble et diriger la partie enlevée vers l'orifice de sortie, le câble dénudé continuant d'avancer dans le trou passe-fil.
