A stroboscopic display device has at least one carrier, associated with a rotary drive shaft, to carry a plurality of point light sources arranged externally on said carrier, and a control unit to cut in and out said light sources. To display advertising messages with the effect of free hovering in the air, the carrier is formed as a rod shaped correspondingly to an appropriate revolution body generatrix and cantilevered onto the drive shaft; the rod thickness commensurable with the cross-section of a point light source, and the rod width sufficient to illusorily disappear from the spectator vision field during gyration. The optical axis of each light source is perpendicular to the revolution body generatrix defined by the carrier shape.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'affichage stroboscopique comportant au moins un support doté d'un arbre d'entraînement rotatif qui permet de supporter une pluralité de sources lumineuses se présentant sous forme de points et disposées à l'extérieur du support et d'une unité de commande pour mettre sous tension et hors tension les sources lumineuses. Afin d'afficher des messages publicitaires faisant l'effet de voler librement dans l'air, le support est formé d'une tige dont la forme correspond à une génératrice de corps rotatif appropriée et qui se trouve en porte-à-faux sur l'arbre d'entraînement. L'épaisseur de la tige peut correspondre à la section transversale d'une source lumineuse se présentant sous forme de points, et la largeur de la tige est suffisante pour disparaître de manière illusoire, lors de sa rotation, du champ de vision du spectateur. L'axe optique de chaque source lumineuse est perpendiculaire à la génératrice d'un corps de révolution définie par la forme du support.
