Abstract of the Disclosure A nonwoven fabric comprising a layer of fibers and a cross-linked poly- meric binder material distributed through out the layer in separate and distinct bond areas of a specific size to produce a strong, durable fabric. The fabric is made by forming a layer of fibers con- taining an unsaturated polymeric material, heating and pressing the layer with the polymeric material therein, and treating the heated and pressed layer with electron beam radiation to cross-link the polymer and bond the fibrous layer. -1-
